Rated 5 out of 5 by TomL from Got over my prejudice With summer coming up my daughter wanted to buy her Dad a pair of sandals. I'm very conventional, footwise, and actually said 'not Birkenstocks' because I always thought they looked uncomfortable and I associate them with being women's shoes. But she persisted and - well, I'm a convert! They were uncomfortable for perhaps 5 minutes and they stay on better than their design suggested. I now like them and am looking forward to us spending our summer together. And at size 46 no, they don't look like women's shoes...

Rated 4 out of 5 by andykg from good sandal but very big Decided to spend more and get a decent pair for holiday that will last me, as I am between UK 10 and 11 in shoe size decided to go with the 10.5 size sandal. Major mistake, they were huge on me so I had to go down a size to 9.5! bit annoyed as Ive now paid twice for shipping and will now have to spend more to return the other pair. Bit early yet to review comfort as not bedded in yet, ive been used to zero lift shoes so these will take time to adjust to my feet and will take a little work.

However, after many years of use, they were finally worn out, so I decided to get a new pair. I could not be happier – the brown colour is very nice, the fit is amazing (somehow even better than the previous pair) and I find them very comfortable for my relatively wide feet. The 10% discount code for my first order was a nice bonus. Highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Stressed mum from Product great but packaging terrible Birkenstock’s are brilliant shoes however I ordered these as a gift for my husband and when they arrived the box had been stuck together with sticky tape to try and repair a lot of obvious previous damage. I personally don’t think when paying £55 for a pair of shoes the box should arrive so badly damaged which clearly the company were aware of before sending. They are already on their way back to you.

I bought these because I have very flat feet and normally wear orthotics in my shoes with arch support. The arch support in these is great but will never break down to form to my foot, this means I can wear them for 1hr before blisters start to form on the inside of arch.... Not for the flat footed

Rated 4 out of 5 by Siseventysix from Stick with it.. Really good quality leather. They have bumps in the sole that take a bit of getting used to. Think it’s orthopaedic or something so there’s hard ridges under the bridge of your foot and around your toes. I was going to send them back but glad I didn’t. You get used to them and they’re actually very comfortable once you do.

I bought them in 11.5 hoping he'd be able to squeeze into them, but when they arrived I realised they are huge. Way bigger than anything I've ever seen in this size. I sent them back for a refund and bought the same sandals in a 9.5, which fit perfectly.

I wish they were cheeper but as they last so well, they are actually verry economical. They were delivered very quickly, unfortunatly the box was damaged but the shoes were fine.
